  • Provide medical services to patients, inclusive of all functions necessary to provide medical care under the direction of the physician;
  • Conducts comprehensive health assessments, identifies normal/abnormal health characteristics, develops plan of care, initiates appropriate interventions, and evaluates care outcomes on defined patient populations(s);
  • Performs delegated functions under physician supervision, such as differential diagnosis, use of prescriptive authority, and treatment according to practice guidelines, protocols, and/or standing orders. Accepts accountability for outcomes in health care;
  • Uses critical thinking skills and clinical judgement to work autonomously as defined by the Nurse Practice Act. 
  • Collaborates with the Physician and healthcare team members to manage/coordinate patient care;
  • Record accurate consultation data in patients records;
  • Instigate necessary invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests or investigations and interpret findings/reports;
  • Contribute to the practice achieving its quality targets to sustain the high standards of patient care and service delivery;
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the practice;
  • Follow all internal policies and procedures; be accountable for completion of all operational tasks according to departmental guidelines to ensure appropriate clinical processing/documentation;
  • See patients in a timely and efficient manner, stay reasonably on time for scheduled appointments in practice throughout the day, unless exceptional circumstances occurs
  •  Maintains current licensure and credentials. Remains current in practice;
  • Responds and comply to requests for information including sending faxes and e-mails;
  • Report statistics as required;
  • Protects patient and family privacy rights and maintains confidentiality of patient records in accordance to policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements;
  • Follows all safety rules on the job. Reports all accidents promptly and corrects minor safety hazards. Communicates with peers and management regarding any hazards identified in the work place;
  • Travels as necessary to other facilities
