Role Description

Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer of U.S. Health Vest, providing strategic and tacticalplanning, development, evaluation, implementation and coordination of the information and technologysystems for their Chicago Behavioral Hospital. Designed to ensure the continuous delivery and operationof integrated clinical and administrative information systems. Responsible for the management of multipleinformation and communications systems and projects, including voice, data, software applications andoffice automation. Leader for the selection and implementation of their new EHR system and managementof the Health Information Management (HIM). Providing oversight and leadership to the organization'sinformation systems staff. Direction and coordination, facilitation, and consultation with all ChicagoBehavioral Hospital and U.S. Health Vest staff on information systems, communications, and residentand patient information safety and technology initiatives. Ensure current with the information technologyand security standards set by governing and regulatory entities. Provide oversight of the HIM departmentensuring proper medical record documentation oversight, diagnostic coding, and Privacy policies forHSL, and for all HRC patients. Serving and participating proactively with other members of the ChicagoBehavioral Hospital's senior management team in developing and executing strategic plans to optimize theuse of information technology and HIM in support of health care and business objectives.
