I have been an IT professional since 9.5 years now and thinking where my next path will take me. Being adaptive to different cultures of IT companies, services and more of product i would work well for both worlds.
Skills acquired working with different companies:
A. Infosys technologies Ltd: As a performance test expert got exposure to different platforms like AIX-IBM, HPUX-HP, SunSolaris-then SunMicrosystems(Oracle), Database- oracle-RAC, perl, shell scripting, SOA, Core Banking(Finacle). Load runner , F5 Load balancer, IHS, Websphere and Tomcat, resin etc.. (Non-root user) , client interactions for extrapolating end-user application base and help them support future scaled customers Big-Data requirements.
Duration: Sept 2005 to March 2008
Clients: DBS, PNB

B. AzulSystems: Worked as a QA Engineer to help Azul JVM (incubated from SunMicrosystems) get certified to work on different platforms Ubuntu, Linux, Windows (Open source products -- free) for different Applications servers (Middleware products) for QA assurance and performance compared to Sun's hotspot JVM. Got exposure to Vmware, free open source tools like grinder, Jmeter, (root access) , Jetty, Tomcat, Websphere, Weblogic, SpecJBB, JCK (java compatibility kit) and got to know companies survive on open source softwares and tools. Architecture was on x86 till now. So by now i had flavor of both Performance Engineer role and QA. I learnt to setup OS, DataBase (RHEL 6) and tests applications for performance and sanity on cloud based environment. Applications were basically executed on heterogeneous platforms/hosts with actual work happening on appliances providing huge compute resources in terms of # of cores and memory. I loved working here because of the freedom to work on technology end-to-end.

Duration: April 2008 to Sept 2010
Clients: Credit Sussie, State farms, BT

C. HCL technologies Ltd: Here worked as a performance test lead managing my own team of three (one fresher offsite and two experienced in onsite location). Got exposure to documentation part of project Test strategy, Test Plan and execution - closure. More work was on MS office, documentation, excel sheet and NFR delegation from client to my team. So left the company early after working for a year almost.

Duration: Oct 2010 to August 2011
Clients: McAfee, Deutsche Bank

D. IBM India software Labs: Became a SPEC member contributing to development support of SERT tool : (******) and hence helping IBM Power servers to gain energy efficiency rating by validating SERT tool on AIX/PowerLinux on System-P. Java performance per watt analysis, Java performance on Linux was my focus area till i joined IBM, but now energy consumption for java workloads is also an area of expertise i gained here. Got exposure to SERT, SPEC membership, Academy of technology study to help EPA of USA to come up with New Energy Star Label thresholds.

Also joined SPEC RG Big-Data group and co-authored a poster publish recently. Due funding issues couldn't attend the Austin ICPE conference Jan 2015.
