Full Stack Web Developer

Full Stack Web Developer

I've always had a passion for working with complex, abstract material to help others solve unique problems. This is what attracted me first to study areas like Philosophy and Psychology, work in financial services, and eventually lead me to develop an interest in coding and web development. Recently I dedicated myself to learn both front and back-end web development full time by enrolling in General Assembly's Web Development Immersive program. I graduated the course in September 2014 and I'm currently seeking opportunities as either a back-end or full-stack developer. My ideal position would involve a unique combination of creativity and analytical ability as a junior web developer. I am well-versed in both front and backend web development, primarily writing in Ruby on Rails and Javascript. In addition to having technical ability, I have the soft skills from training in the humanities (Philosophy, Psychology, Technical Writing) and customer service which makes me an effective communicator, critical thinker, and end-user oriented in terms of development. Open to contract work and regular employment.
