Role Description

Build and help lead brand new IV&V IT audit team reporting to the CIO where none previously existed. Wrote numerous PMO type documents such as charters, scopes, project plans, presentations, standard procedures, and more. New IV&V Team will aid WSSC in: greater executive visibility & oversight, reduced delays/costs, increased quality, Earned Value Management (EVM), and confirmation/tracking. IV&V Team will confirm that project requirements/goals are met throughout the SDLC. New IV&V Team benefits include:• Instills greater confidence to executive stakeholders of true project progress and status by confirming the Earned Value Management (EVM) process.• Reduced project: costs, risks, and errors, by reducing impacts of change through early identification/remediation.• Increased project: quality, efficiency, visibility, communication, requirement compliance, deliverables, products, and success.• Improved system: quality, maintainability, reliability, integrity, knowledge management, and documentation baseline.• Better ensure proposed solution will meet all the requirements that stakeholders signed on to.• Increase project scheduling quality & accuracy leading to fewer delays.• Additional quality checkpoints into management of projects.• Ensure that the configured solution has properly identified testable requirements that were in fact tested correctly prior to implementation including proper test coverage, permutations, and defect analysis & remediation.• Establish best practices, including knowledge transfer and acknowledgement, along with agreed upon: lessons learned, metrics, and/or KPI’s (i.e. for example how many defects and/or types of defects found in testing per volume set etc.).WSSC is the eigth largest utility of it's type in the US!
