I truly love Sales and Sales Management. It is my passion. I take a player-coach approach that keeps me in the trenches with my sales team. I know that I am excelling at my job when three things happen. 1. Customers are happy that we are solving a problem or addressing a need for them. 2. All of my sales people are excited to come into work and make that next call or demo. 3. The company is so busy with more business that they need to hire in the customer success department.

I am what I call a Startup Junkie. I thrive on the ups and the downs. The speed and the pivots. An example of this is the reason I left my last 2 companies (Syntropy & Local Motion). They were not able to setup the operations needed to handle the sales I was bringing in. In those companies I built out the sales process and got the company selling. Either providing the tools and training they needed to go out and sell or closed the first couple of big customers for them.

In my career I have managed sales teams ranging in size from 1 - 20. Sold SaaS products and services that range in price from $1000 - $4,000,000 a year. Worked sales cycles that range from one call closes to 2 year multiple touch deals. None of this stops me. Objections and challenges get me excited. It means that the prospect is thinking and being engaged. Its up to my team and I to make sure that the customer is getting what they want or need. No more and no less. This is what I want to do in my next position.

Role Description

I was contracted to create the sales process and train the CEO and Cofounder how to sell. • I identified the value proposition and created scripting for sales meetings and presentations. • Trained the Co-founders on how to use the CRM platform that I setup. • Established a pricing model that can be scaled as the company and customers grow. • Built a pipeline of over $10 million in annual revenue that the CEO is able to present too. • Did competitive intelligence on similar companies that was used to differentiate Syntropy in the market.
