With years of experience processing tax returns in a fast paced public accounting firm, I've become comfortable and familiar with deadlines and rushed employees and clients. By handling source documents at the beginning of the tax process using fxScan (Prosystems), and then releasing and tracking returns through the efile system (Prosystems, excel and SharePoint), I was allowed to see a big picture of the tax preparation process at Mohle Adams. Because of this, I was included in developing the best practices for several subsets of processes and as a whole. Being involved with improving this big picture approach was my favorite part about my position at the CPA firm, as well as the small part I had in improving processes at FCA Corp, a financial planning company.
My ability to learn quickly, especially new software, has allowed me to move into other industries such as oil and gas and into other positions. My current Buyer/Planner responsibilities prove how easily I adjust. I started out in the Planning department, and when Purchasing was overwhelmed, they allowed me to step in and assist by learning all the purchasing processes and creating purchase orders.
I would excel in a position that combines my daily administrative support duties, especially tax administrative support, with involvement in process development and improvement.
