Program Management is at the intersection of what I loved about
my previous work experiences. At Eaton and Lost Points LLC, I took projects
from the inception of the idea to the end product. I had the opportunity to
speak directly with the end user and incorporate their input into the final
design. Both of these projects shipped at the end of the internship.
I am a self-starter and I love to take on new projects to
fill the white space. (Although I am a second semester senior, this is the
busiest I have ever been.) This year, I saw that UIUC didn’t have a hardware
hackathon and so I began to plan the event. I joined forces with HackIllinois
and together, this April UIUC will see it’s first hardware hackathon.
I am a quick learner. Last fall, I discovered that more and
more companies ask applicants for a website, so I decided to learn web
development and create my own website. 3 months and 4 Codecademy courses later,
I have my own website! It is a work in progress, but it something of which I
can be very proud. I even redesigned the website for CUBE Consulting and began
to teach the basics of web development the next website curator.
I am seeking an entrepreneurial environment that
is as enthusiastic about learning as I am.
