You shake the interviewer’s hand goodbye and go off into the distance, awaiting the next phone call that says you’re hired! Could it be that easy?

Step Your Thank-You Game Up
The template above is short and sweet, but it will do the trick and impress your interviewer. However, if you really want to set the bar high, there are some ways you can optimize your thank-you email to set yourself apart from the competition.
Try adding a small paragraph after your initial “thank you” with your value proposition or maybe some ideas you came up with after discussing the position in the interview.
If you really want to blow your interviewer away (especially if they lean on the “more traditional” side), send a hand-written note in addition to your thank-you email. Reiterate your excitement in moving forward, slap a stamp on it, and send it the hiring manager. It’s a very classy touch and fairly simple to do.
It may seem unnecessary or even out-dated, but the power of a genuine thank-you outlasts any trend. Sending a thank-you email after an interview leaves a lasting impression on your interviewer, and you want to be remembered in this situation. So whether you use our template or your own version, don’t leave this out. Show the hiring manager how genuinely enthusiastic you are about the position and remind them how great of a fit you are for it.
